The word ” Thanks” is too small for thanking the book of The Secret. It is like a panacea, read it and all your illness are cured. I randomly picked up this book and did not know it would change my life. Having grown up reading stories of angels and Aladdin, I always thought of having a magic lamp that would get me the dress I wanted or the choco brownie to kill my hunger. I realized that these were all fancy tales but ever since I found this book, I can feel the Genie around me saying “Your wish is my command”. After finishing up with the book, I made a dream book and covered it with red velvet paper. I titled it “I Wish”. One by one I wrote the tiniest of my wishes to the biggest of my dreams and read it again and again. I felt it again and again. Then one by one I started to receive them.

I was out of contact with my best friend for a year. We had dreamt to do further studies together but here I was in Pune alone. I used to be so upset as there was no way left to get back to her. But the moment I decided to jot it down in my dream book, Oh! My God, miracles do happen. The very next day she followed me on Instagram and liked my pics. That’s it! Will she call me, ping me? Have things changed? The love faded? Or did she get another best friend? Of course, I thanked the Universe for what I had but I wanted more and I had the wish book. And so, as I was writing again in the dream book she pinged me on my Whatsapp number that I had earlier before she followed me on instagram. I pinged her on instagram. “Ahh! It works like crazy”, I said on knowing she lives in Pune too, doing an MBA from another college.

We fixed so many dates to meet but were not able to because of our classes and reports. But hey, I have my Genie and here was my wish for him to command. And within few days we met finally. Nothing has changed. I am still her best friend and we both have a boyfriend. Wow!!

I always wanted good sports shoes for running. Actually I wanted Nike shoes only. They were expensive for a student living on pocket money but I knew I would have them. I did not know how but I just knew. I used to add only Nike shoes on my wish list of my online shopping app. Then one day I found them in my size, my choice, too expensive but on sale for less than half a price!

So this was my story, shoes being the tiny wish and meeting my best friend again was a big dream. This book is like a time saver, I have recommended it to so many people.I even showed my parents the movie in Hindi, “Rahasya” and that changed their mindset. This book is a blessing. Thank you!
