First I would like to say Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Rhonda for the work you are doing and lives you are changing. I read The Secret about four years ago when I was diagnosed with TB. I was at the lowest point in my life and a friend told me about The Secret. I bought the book but was not very keen on reading it since I was depressed at the time. Thanks to a lady I met while I was walking home, she saw me carrying the book, and she said to me, “you have to read that book it, changed my life,” and she told me there was a movie as well which I later bought.

That night I read the book from cover to cover and I was so insipired and energised. I began putting it into practice the very next day and I went back to work so full of energy and I was not even disturbed by the gossips that were going around about my illness. I went for my 1st test after a month of taking my medication and it came back negative. For six months my tests were coming back negative. I completed my term of medication and doctors could not understand. My affirmation was “Every day I am getting better and better”.

I live by The “SECRET”. I applied for a new job which I was qualified for but there were other people who were more qualified than myself. I put The Secret to the test again. I wrote on my bedroom wall my new company name and my new position and put my name on it. I started packing all my stuff at my old work but continued to work extra hard and putting in extra hours. I went for 3 interviews and all of them I was very grateful and smiling with excitement, I knew it was my job. The last interview I was asked if I believe in God and I said a BIG YES the interviewer told me there was something about me he could not describe… to cut a long story short I got the JOB!

I worked hard and I was very grateful for my new job but when my first payslip came I got a shock of my life my salary went down by R10000 which is a lot of money and when I inquired I was told I read the offer letter wrong. I have to admit I was hurt and I felt how could I make such a mistake??? After a few days of confusion I figured out if the Universe could give me this, job surely the Universe can fix my salary discrepancy. I went online printed a Universal Cheque and I wrote my new desired salary and I knew and believed that I deserved it.

I went to my boss and ask him to help fix my salary situation but he told me he can’t do much… still I did not lose hope. I continued to work very hard and enjoy my job everyday I would thank the Universe for my salary increase. When I received my payslip I would cross off the amount and the put the new amount of my desired salary and I would feel excited. For 6 months I looked forward to receiving my payslip.

To cut a long story short, one Friday I was working late in the office and our CFO was walking past my office and he asked me what I was still doing there etc. And he started making small talk and asked my about my family and how I was settling in the company and whether I was happy which I told him I was happy, but had a problem with my salary. He asked me to come see him with a rep from HR on Monday morning.

I got to work on Monday morning and he was already looking for me. We went to his office and HR said they will look into the matter, it was a mistake on their part… within a week I got my new appointment letter with my new salary increase OMG!!! 2 weeks ago I received a retention bonus, performance bonus, plus another 10%. Wow! And got seconded to work on a project with a lot of overseas travel opportunities. Wow again!

Fast forward, the Magic came out here in SA and I bought it. I have to say this tops everything I have learnt from The Secret to The Power. I mean having to practice gratitude everyday wow. When I read The Magic where Rhonda says look at your life from Finances, Career, Health, Relationship etc and see which area/s you are doing well, then you will know that is the area you have given gratitude to the most. I did that then I realized I am successful in most areas of my life except when it comes to relationships. I began putting the Magic to test. I have to say I am on day 4, already I have been asked on 2 dates by the most professional successful good looking men and I am amazed they are literally fighting to go on dates with me. Wow!

Next time I will write here after having chosen my prince and got married!!
