Sometimes, as I reflect on what has transpired in my recent past, I feel… Silly! Silly because in the 20/20 vision of hindsight, I can see how these teachings have helped me as I’ve applied them in my past, but then I’ve lapsed, and things don’t go so well, then I remember, and start applying again and things go well.

This time I will make applying my way of life for the rest of my life.

I wish to relate a recent experience

I needed to buy timber for a project, and made arrangements to travel to where a business associate of mine sells this particular timber, over 1000km away.

I have had licensing issues with my vehicle and needed some repairs for a trip of that distance, and although I had funds set aside for fuel and purchasing the timber, I did not have enough liquid cash to cover any roadside problems nor for the necessary repairs and licensing.

So last Friday I printed “The Secret Check” and filled it out in the amount of R 10,000 which was my estimation of what I would need. I made the date out for Yesterday (August 3). And kept visualizing that amount coming in from an unexpected source.

Monday evening I had a sudden inspiration, and went onto the website of a local timber supplier, and found a pdf pricelist of all the timber they stock, and there was the timber I needed, slightly more expensive than I could get it so far away, a quick calculation confirmed that I would indeed save at least most of the R3000 fuel estimate.

I told myself not to be too excited, since there was no guarantee that the timber sizes and quality I needed were in fact in stock, then laughed at myself as I realized that that is indeed the exact opposite of what I should do, so I did become excited, and wrote down “the timber I need is waiting for me at **** ***** and is of greater quality and more affordable than I expected”. I kept repeating this to myself, even recording reading this and played it back on repeat through the night as I slept!

The next morning I phoned the local branch and the salesperson told me they have an excess of that timber, therefor have all sizes, AND are offering a 15% discount.

Later that day a customer walked into my premises and asked for a quotation on a TV stand he wants built, we did a quick sketch and I quoted him R2500, and he gave me the go-ahead right there…

Last night, being August 3rd, I wondered how my R10,000 would manifest itself, and realized that R3000 was saved on fuel, R2200 on licensing, R2500 literally walked in off the street, R1000 was saved on the price of the timber, so a shortfall of only R1300 remained. Did that make me say “this stuff doesn’t work?” No! I celebrated my intention becoming manifest.

BUT!

It doesn’t finish there, this morning a business associate of mine came to see me, and paid me R1500 for a small job I had completely forgotten about, I couldn’t help but ask him when his client paid him, “before close of business last night”, but I had left early to deliver to a client so he could only pay now!

SO I have printed more cheques, with dates corresponding to my goals, and feel thankful for them manifesting already
