Several years ago I picked up a book in an airport called The Secret and after reading, I felt like I had been blessed with a new way of experiencing the world. Things were good but a few years later I bought the second book, the Power, which has changed my life so much more than I ever thought possible. Instantly, I felt the power of love change the way I felt, how I interacted with people and so much more.

You see, my husband and I have been married 9 years, 7 of them spent trying to have a child. Four IVF Procedures left us little hope so we decided to just give up. I just could not take the emotional turmoil any more. After reading The Power in January, I used the power of gratitude to be grateful for a child that I wanted in my life. I saw myself holding the baby and being grateful that I was given the gift of being a mom. About two weeks after this, I received a call from someone close to me who had recently found out she was pregnant and was considering abortion. The father of the baby had recently died in an accident and being a single parent of a 2 � yr old daughter, she just could not take on another child. She asked if we would be interested in adopting the baby because she knew how long we had tried to have a family and how kind and caring we both are. We have since agreed and are now very involved in the pregnancy day by day.

I am so looking forward to our baby who will be joining us in October of this year. I have no doubt that the amazing state of love and gratitude I gained from The Power resulted in my lifelong dream coming true.
