A Little Penny
Submitted by: David N.
Tempe, ArizonaAfter reading the story about the guy who pictured a specific feather in his mind and later found it lying right under his nose, I decided to try out this technique of visualization. I envisioned a penny. Not just any penny, but a penny that had my year of birth on it, 1988. To me this seemed impractical. I thought to myself, what are the chances of me finding a penny that has that exact year on it? I also thought of how long it would take for me to even find one.
So I decided to try the visual process. I wrote down on a piece a paper, “1988 penny,” and placed it on my desk so I would see it pretty much every day. I told my girlfriend about it and she thought I was crazy for even trying to find one.
A week or so later she told me she found a 1988 penny but thought nothing of it and threw it away. I was mad because I thought that maybe thats how I was going to find one, through her. Weeks go by and I start to think nothing of it but that paper was still on my desk and I would occasionally see it when I was doing homework or on my computer.
One day at my friends house I see a penny lying on the ground. Forgetting about my little experiment I pick it up and to my amazement it was the penny that I was destined to find. I was astonished. I couldn’t believe that I actually found the penny I wanted to find within only a few weeks of envisioning it and writing it down.
This little event gave me hope and the desire to believe in the law of attraction. If you really want something write it down and place it somewhere where you will see it. My next goal is 20 dollars, haha.
I kept that penny and still have it on my billboard next to the paper that made it happen.
