I always had a dream to visit the USA where my aunt lives. She often used to show me some pictures of various places whenever she visited India. She has been inviting my parents ever since she settled there. A few years ago getting a VISA was very difficult. My mom used to say it’s impossible to go to the US. So I didn’t have a hope of visiting the US.

When I came to 10th class my sister told me about The Secret. I watched the video many times and I started imagining myself in my aunt’s house. I imagined myself packing and everyone saying, “HAPPY JOURNEY,” to our family. I started writing in present tense that I was really grateful to god. I started thanking him, thanking him that soon I would be in my aunt’s place playing with my cousins.

One week later my aunt sent us invitation papers, but since my mom and dad couldn’t get leave we were all disappointed. But they gave it a try and after 3 days the “NO OBJECT CERTIFICATE” which they applied for was approved and they even got two months leave.

After two weeks we got appointed to VISA interview. Before we went there were people who got rejected. My mom was really scared. I kept imagining her saying that our VISAS have been approved. And after asking us a few questions she said, “Your VISAS have been approved.” You couldn’t imagine how happy I was. I jumped with joy.

From then I still kept imaging me being in my aunt’s house in my summer holidays. You know what, we have booked our tickets and tomorrow, May 8th, we are flying to DALLAS. Not only this, I have achieved so many things, such as I won the SPELL BEE in my school, and many more.

It’s amazing, it really works. All you have to do is imagine yourself when you get what you want to achieve and you will ACHIEVE it.
