You Get What You Ask For.

I watch The Secret sporadically. Sometimes because I need to be reminded that being positive is not too difficult to be; sometimes to be reminded that to get out of my rut, I need to be positive; sometimes because I need to see what’s happening for others in order to refresh my beliefs in the Law of Attraction.
Today, it’s 2 years after my husband and I were laid off. It’s the day after we both were told “Thanks, but no thanks,” by yet another potential employer. It’s the day that we both felt burdened by this rat race all the adults spoke of so often when we were kids.
So, I look for The Secret because I need that pick-me-up again. I start to watch and within 10 minutes, I realize something astounding. My husband and I talk all the time about “having enough to take care of our family,” and “being comfortable.” This entire time, since being booted from our jobs and picking up jobs here and there, we have been getting just what we asked for! To a tee!
But guess what accompanies that? We also speak on how we don’t have enough money to go out, and we don’t have time to enjoy each other and our family. How we are annoyed with our housing and our current jobs. How we’re so tired and on and on and on. This is the reality of “being comfortable” in respect to our lives.
Being “comfortable” is something I envisioned to be a whole lot different, but the universe’s idea of “comfortable” isn’t what I want. All of the negative things my husband and I complain about alongside being “comfortable” has been our own recipe for exactly the opposite of what we want. We have been putting these frequencies into to the universe and it has been detrimental to the idea what we want our lives to be.
So now, I say things more precisely. From this day forward, I’m being more specific when I think, speak, and write on what I want to acquire and achieve. My ideas on what I want to be, have, and do are not just thoughts and daydreams – they are messages to the Universe and must be communicated effectively to flourish in the way I want them to.
Please use my story to remember that you get exactly what you ask for, so make sure you ask for exactly what you want to get!
