I started reading The Secret in January of 2008. 2007 was a really rough year for the whole family, and I was determined to make life better. My mother in law suggested we all read it before a vacation in August, but I never got around to it. I finally decided to give it a try after a message board I am on started a Secret group to support one another on our journeys.

I started by really imaging myself with my perfect weight, perfectly clear skin, and the tattoo I wanted. I also made a vision board with places I wanted to go on vacation, an arial view of the house I know is ours, and a check for $300,000. I would focus on these things, and truly believe I already had my tattoo. I started looking into the vacation spots. Silly me put dates for the vacations on my board… The outer banks this year, Hawaii and Vegas next year, Disney the year after.

By late January I found a way to get my tattoo. I went to the shop to get a consult and appointment in mid February. The appointment isn’t until June, but it is the artist I had been looking at for about a year! Then later that same weekend, my hubby and I scheduled a trip to Disney!!! We didn’t think we would be able to afford it, but when we looked into it, and our increased finances, we realized we could! Two years before I had it on our vision board! On top of it, we are staying at the exact resort that I had put on the board. When I told my husband, he went and looked on the board to see that I had in fact put that resort on there!

Now I am envisioning our awesome trip to Disney, and winning a huge prize in their promotion of the year, such as a vacation club membership. Winning that means that Hawaii is a definite, too!!!
