I began to discover The Secret before buying the book. Several months ago I re-entered school. Instead of just studying, doing my assignments and hoping for an “A”, this time I said “I am getting an A,” with certainty and a no-nonsense attitude. Well, I did get an A (I did put in work for it, of course) but the work and grade came with less struggle. I am now enrolled in my next term, and this time, I am getting an A.

Also shortly before returning to school I decided that I would loose excess weight and gain improved health. Every day before going to sleep I would stand in front of my mirror and “See” myself at my ideal appearance. Although I am not all the way there right now, I am closer than I would have ever thought possible.

Since reading The Secret, and knowing what I accomplished before actually knowing it, I can now let go of my past. My childhood was difficult and my early adult life full of struggle and heartache. I accept that was what happened and know that the past does not dictate my future unless I allow it. I already feel free, healthier than in years and full of confidence and hope that what I want and concentrate on I will achieve.

Now I am concentrating on a better career, buying a house and a long-term, fulfilling, mutually monogamous, romantic relationship (not marriage) – one that is based on friendship and compatibility.
