It was my first week at a new job and I met Chris who was my counterpart. We soon become best friends, we worked on the same projects and had an excellent bonding. I secretly started liking him and I knew there was something there, some kind of strong connection which I had never felt with anyone before. We both knew we liked each other more than friends but never said anything.

The job wasn’t going so well but I stuck on because I had Chris supporting me through all aspects of it, he was the one reason I didn’t leave the job.

We hardly ever had arguments and the one time when we did, we fell out badly and hadn’t spoken for 4 months. I left the job, was broken inside out and that was when I started practicing The Secret. I focused on the things that made me happy and only held on to good memories and had faith that someday Chris would return. I thanked him via email for everything good that he had done for me.

Soon things changed. I stopped getting upset over him. I saw signs of him everywhere and he came back into my life in the most beautiful manner. We recently started talking again and things are exactly how they were meant to be, perfect! I had multiple job offers from various companies and now I’m employed in my dream job, with Chris right by my side.
