Remember To Remember.

CanadaA strong believer of your thoughts and feelings create your life.
A friend of mine introduced me to The Secret in 2013. On and off I have received some good results, maybe not life changing. Life got busy so I put practicing gratitude on the back burner.
In the summer of 2017 I returned to work from maternity leave and was motivated to contribute to the team again. I noticed a distinct change in my manager’s attitude towards me, sort of dismissive. I told my friend about it and I was told maybe I was over thinking, just brush it off and move on. A few months later my manager wanted to talk to me and immediately I knew what the conversation would be. She said the team plans to go in a new direction and I no longer fit into the team dynamic and that I should start looking for another job. This happened the day before my 2 weeks holiday when I planned to celebrate my first child’s first birthday. You can imaging how I felt in the next two weeks.
It was a very stressful 2 months after. I experienced severe anxiety, I couldn’t sleep and I was worried and embarrassed not knowing what would happen. After working so many years at this company the thought of going through interviews and the hiring process was dreadful. Nonetheless I started job searching. At the same time I started reading The Secret again. The book had been placed beside my pillow for a couple of years but not until then did I have an urge to pick it up again. It was like it was calling me and wanted me to do something. I also downloaded the book via Audible so I could listen to it on the way to work, driving to work and back home. I filled my head with The Secret, gratitude and the law of attraction. I believed everything would be OK. If I believe it and feel like it already happened then the Universe will move events, people and circumstances to make it happen for me. I created a vision board and looked at it every day to remind myself to “remember to remember”.
One day I saw an old co-worker in the mall. I emailed him to have coffee after. I asked him about his job, if it was something I would be interested in doing. To my surprise he asked me right away “Are you interested in what I do? We might have a role to fill in a few days.”. He introduced me to his manager and she contacted me right away to set up an interview. Within one week I was offered a job that offers higher pay than my old job. I didn’t even apply it and it just came to me.
My life is changed forever because now I breath and live gratitude and the law of attraction. I know it works! I can’t afford not to be practicing the law of attraction, because I don’t ever want to go back to my old life. Life now is so much better.
