My entire life has been working in alignment with the teachings in The Secret but I realized it only after I was introduced to the book.

I had purchased a new house a few months back. I had been decorating my house very meticulously. Each thing that came into my home was deeply thought for and precisely positioned. If I liked something, I wanted it to come what may, and wouldn’t welcome anything else as an alternative.

I liked one such coffee table at IKEA that suited perfectly with the other pieces of furniture in my home. Now, I am an Engineer and can typically guess sizes, dimensions, and weights of objects pretty accurately and without using measuring devices. I had set my eyes on this beautiful coffee table that I was pretty sure would be able to get into my sedan, so I did not measure the dimensions of my car or the table before buying it. I finally purchased the coffee table from the store and carried it on a cart to my car that was parked in the parking lot.

I opened the trunk of the car and started to lift and place the disassembled table in it. I was surprised that it wouldn’t go in. I tried maneuvering it so it could get it in but unfortunately, it still would not fit. I folded the rear seats and pushed the passenger seat as far down as it could get so as to allow the maximum space for the furniture to fit in but it still stubbornly refuse to get fit in. It was around 1 cm longer than the diagonal and the widest opening of the trunk, which was almost a close cut-off. I was contemplating returning the purchase as there was no way for me to take it home.

During this time, another customer bought his purchases and was loading them in his truck that was parked right next to mine. He noticed me struggling with the table. He offered to help and a ray of hope rekindled in me, but he failed as well. I finally decided to return my purchase, as there was not any way to get it home. Mind you, I was neither saddened, nor felt negative about the situation. I just looked at it as something that needed me to look at and figure out other ways or effort.

The Magic happened when he then offered to put my coffee table in his truck and follow me to drop it off at my house! I accepted his offer, thanked him, and overwhelmingly broke down from inside, while still donning my calm self on the outside. I remember as I started my car, all I said was, “Thank you, thank you, thank you, Universe!” I simply felt inundated and submerged in blessings and gratefulness. The feeling of gratitude in me maxed out and I felt strongly humbled.

I finally got my favorite coffee table home. I offered the man some reward for his kindness. He refused to take it and rather took something really magnificent from me. A promise that I should repay him by passing on the kindness to someone else. At that moment I could truly see the divine power helping me, disguised as that man. I promised him and deeply thanked this man again.

And that’s how my life has always been working according to the law of attraction, even without me asking!
