In September last year, I had to vacate my apartment in the city centre as the apartment contract ended and I wasn’t able to renew it on time. I tried using The Secret principles and maintained a gratitude journal being grateful for each and every thing in that apartment. I started imagining myself successfully renewing the contract, as I loved the locality and did not want to leave it.

Also, finding accommodation in the city centre is very difficult and so I desperately wanted to hold on to that apartment.
Unfortunately, nothing worked out and I had to move to another apartment away from the city centre, the contract of which was only for 6 months.

A few days after moving to the new apartment, I happened to pass by my earlier apartment with a friend and I told my friend that I am definitely coming back to the city centre soon. He laughed and said that it was not possible to find anything in the city centre so easily, let alone the same street as my previous apartment. But I knew it would work out. Soon I forgot all about this and I started enjoying living in the new apartment although I knew I would have to find a new apartment again after 6 months.

Fast forward 6 months and today I am living in my new apartment on the same street in the city centre as my previous apartment with rent even cheaper than my previous apartment and with better facilities!!

I know now that the reason I wasn’t successful in renewing the contract in the earlier apartment was that I was too attached to the “how” and anxious about having to leave the apartment.
Everything worked out better than I imagined when I completely let go of my wish and enjoyed life as it came.
