I got married when I was 18. On November 18th, 2011 my life was turned upside down as I was assaulted by my husband and was left with a broken nose, a broken heart, and post-traumatic stress.

In December, a friend gave me The Secret DVD as a Christmas present. This DVD inspired me to change my life around and focus on all the positives in my life and being grateful for being alive and realizing that I wouldn’t be alive today if I didn’t leave in time and realizing that I need to love life and be thankful for every day of my life.

I made a list of the things I wanted in my life. The first was a lifetime partner who would truly love and cherish me and appreciate me for who I am. Second, was to get the job I have been wanting since I started working at my company and to study once again and expand my knowledge to reach my goals. The last thing on my list was for my flat to be sold and I would be free from having to deal with all finances on my own and getting my divorce finalized.

On January 17th, 2013, I texted a friend out of blue and asked if he remembers a friend I met at his party the year before and if he was single and if he fancied meeting up. A few hours later I received a text from him saying he would love to meet up and he had remembered from the year before. The Universe brought his name to my head and all actions I took were effortless and not the kind of thing I would ever get the guts to do.

I am happy to say my new partner is amazing and is everything I have asked The Universe. We are now engaged and looking forward to getting married in the next five years. I’m also now divorced and my flat was sold 2 months ago. It seemed The Universe just kept putting the right people in front of me, from the solicitor to the amazing buyers. I’m so happy and grateful that words can not describe.

The last thing was the perfect job. With this one I struggled a bit, simply because I didn’t believe in myself. I ordered The Secret Gratitude Book from the website and wrote in it every day for things I am grateful for, and the things in the future I was expecting to be grateful for, and truly believing I have already received them.

One day I received an email from one of the managers of a company that I previously applied to (but was turned down) and they told me that a new position has come up and I could apply for it if I was still interested. An hour after I applied, I had an interview invite. On the day of the interview the second person in the interview was one of the project managers who has helped me in preparing for a previous interview and presentation and knew my true potential. It was like the universe was making it all happen for me.

I was very confident in the interview, something that I was lacking after what happened to me and really believed I had the job when I walked out the room. I was told I had to wait until the second week in Sept to hear back, however that wasn’t date I had in my mind. I had set the date of Friday, August 31st, and to my utter surprise Friday the 31st came and I was loosing hope until I received email at 4:30 from the manager who interviewed me asking if I had some time so she can provide me with feed back, and that you would like to offer me the position.

I was so happy and thankful. The Secret has truly changed my life and I’m loving life now. I feel full of joy, abundance, and love and I know all the other things will come my way in time such as a house of my dreams and the perfect wedding day.
