For years I thought I was useless, a waste of space and a “no hoper” as that is what people around me made me believe.

I was in a job where I was bullied, felt no gratitude and worked all kinds of hours .

I was reliable and hard working, my bosses knew this and took advantage. The more I did for them the more they wanted from me. I was on minimum wage and they were always threatening me by saying I was replaceable.

On top of this my husband was told he may have cancer and my brother in law had just had a stroke. Not a good time.

Above the place where I worked was another company who was completely opposite to where I worked. They were all friendly, laughing and the nature of the job was something I was so interested in.

My hubby had bought me The Secret as an xmas gift.

At 1st I was a sceptic. But I started wishing and dreaming that I was working for the company above us. I would imagine walking upstairs in the smart uniform, sitting in my own office laughing with the girls. I also imagined that the doctors had told hubby that he did not have anything sinister.

One day I received a text from the manager of the company upstairs saying they had a p/t job available. I took it and am now full time and have a higher paid position!
