My Stolen Phone Came Back!
Submitted by: Lily
Istanbul, Turkey36 years old single woman, trying to make it through on her own, just started to practice LOA and getting to understand how it works...
First of all I would like to thank you Rhonda and her team from deep in my heart for introducing the LOA to me and the world. And I want to apologize for my poor English.
I have been through really bad days like divorce, losing job, failed relationships and lack of money for the past 5-6 years. I watched “The Secret” a couple of years ago and I tried using LOA a few times but I thought it is not working for me. About 15 days ago I got “The Magic” book and read it in one night then I realised “The Secret” did not work for me because I wasn’t grateful for anything in my life and I started to practice it the next day. In the first ten days I have received a beautiful and expensive dress, my dog was sick and she is healed in two days (vet told me it will take around 3 months), some really nice discounts in the supermarkets and help from people that I don’t know. So I have really started to enjoy my life and be grateful for everything in my life.
On the 10th day something really bad happened. A friend of mine has an apartment in a very bad part of the city (mostly famous for its thieves) and on that night I had to stop by and take something from him. He told me when I get close call him and he would come to me because he didn’t want me to walk alone on his street. When I got the junction where his street starts I took my phone to call him, somebody suddenly grabbed the phone from my hand and ran away. I had an iPhone 4S which was a gift from my father and it is very expensive here. I was screaming so people came running to me and tried calming down. One even gave me his phone to call someone I knew. I called my friend and he came to pick me up and we went to his place and think what we can do. On the way I was crying and thinking why did this happen, I was grateful for everything, thanking god every day for bringing good things to my life. I was almost losing my faith.
My friend told me that there is an internet cafe open 24 hours just across from his apartment and the owner had grown up in this area so maybe he could help. I thought even he knows something he wouldn’t tell but we stopped by and explained the situation. He said to us, “It might be hard to find who has done it but if I hear something I will call.”
We went my friend’s apartment and I told him I will wash my face and went into the bathroom. I knew I needed to calm myself down because I was still shaking and I needed sometime alone to understand what had happened. I was thinking why, why, why did this happened? Suddenly I remembered the rule “don’t focus on bad things and if we want to have something we should be grateful for what we have”. I started to think I am alive, I am healthy, my parents are alive and happy, my dog is healthy, I am safe, then I remembered my old phone is still at home so I don’t have to buy a new one, I can still use it! I started to feel relief and my energy changed and walked out the bathroom with a big smile on my face. My friend was shocked and said, “You were crying when you went in to the bathroom, what happened?” And I said to him I have a phone at home so what happened, happened. I am happy I have a phone. We started to chat about something else and in ten minutes his phone rang, the internet cafe guy was on the phone and he said my phone is on the way coming to his shop! My friend was in shock and so was I. We ran to his shop and five minutes later I couldn’t believe in my eyes, it was really my phone! I hugged him and said, “Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This is normally not possible in that area nothing stolen ever found again but my phone came back and it is really a miracle. Since then I am more grateful and knowing bad things can happen but we shouldn’t lose our faith, carry on to be grateful so better things will come to our lives. Thank you again The Secret Team and I am looking forward to share more miracles here about job, money and relationship.
