In June of last year my husband went back to work after being off for six months with two broken wrists. He works as a line haul driver, transporting goods from Vancouver to Calgary and Edmonton. He signed on with the understanding he would get to be home several times a month. Our home is in 100 Mile House, BC, which is basically in the middle of our province. For months we hardly saw each other – maybe a half day here and couple of days there.

After seven months I was introduced to the DVD The Secret and started to realize that my negative thinking was not what I should be doing if I wanted to get my husband home. I was in the middle of reading the book The Secret and really started visualizing him home. I started telling everyone he was coming home, he gave his notice even though he didn’t have another job to go to, but I just kept saying he is home, he is on the way.

One day my friend told me her husband had just given up a job going from 100 Mile House to Vancouver every day and I jumped on it. I got his resume together took it up to the mill for the owner of the trucking company to pick it up, and on the way I saw the person who had the owner’s phone number – now I had never met this fellow and only knew his name was Dwayne, and guess what, he was loading up there and his name was on the door of his truck.

I phoned the owner and left a message, and within two hours Harry called me back – my husband and Harry knew each other from when he had worked there one and a half years ago. They helped each other tarp. My husband called me back in half an hour and told me he was hired. He was not only hired but will be getting a brand new truck, double the wages he was working for, and will be home every day, and every weekend.

My daughter and I just started to cry – you see he is a cancer survivor who only had four months to live in 2008 and has gone through chemotherapy, radiation, three months doctor checks, six months doctor checks, and is now on his way to excellent health.

I cannot tell you how grateful we are to have him home. I say THANK YOU every moment of every day.
