Exactly a year ago, my life was in turmoil, much like Rhonda Byrne’s was prior to her discovery of The Secret. I was living with my now ex and his parents. I had just finished college and I had no idea what I was going to do with my life. I felt like I was stuck. I wanted to be on my own but worked at many dead end jobs and made very little money. For many years, my cousin begged me to give The Secret a chance, but I wasn’t truly ready.

After almost two years of being in what I thought was the perfect relationship, I found out that he was cheating on me the entire time with a mutual friend. My entire life turned upside down. We had plans to move out of state together. I viewed his parents as family. All that I had planned had to be restructured. I just wasn’t ready to do all of that. But I did.

I decided immediately to move out. I packed my bags and left the house that day and stayed with my cousin. I decided to move to Florida because a family member moved to Fort Lauderdale and had a spare room. I was unknowingly using The Secret to bring upon change in my life. Every day I told myself I would save enough money for the move. That I would have enough money for the move. My graduation party brought upon some money and my step mother gave me a couple thousand for it. I also managed to save some. This change I truly wanted and needed. Within a month I was in Florida. Something made me download The Secret and I listened to it during my drive to Florida. It changed my life almost immediately. Everything that I put out into the Universe I get, whether good or bad.

One day, I lost my iPod. I had no way of buying a new one because I still hadn’t found a decent job. So, I put on my vision board that I would find it. For three days, I read my vision board. I told myself I already found my iPod. After the third day, I drove to the gym, opened my car door and was shocked to find my iPod balancing between the car door and the seat. Balancing for three days. Three days that I got in and out of my car. I didn’t ask how. I just knew that The Secret was working in my favor.

I used The Secret to find jobs and possessions that I wanted. I am currently using it to bring my financial state to order and to find my perfect partner. I truly could never imagine what my life would be like if I had driven to Florida without listening to The Secret. I really had no idea the power I had within me. I never knew the strength. All it takes for us to be truly happy, is to think it. Believe it. Know you already have what you want.

I listen to The Secret every day on my way to work. I have my vision board that I read every morning. I carry around a gratitude rock to remind me to be thankful for what I have so that I can bring more into my life. I have my favorite quotes from The Secret plastered all over my cubicle at work. It works. It is real. It is amazing.
