This story is one of faith and friendship.

My relationship with two of my closest friends crashed down after they found out that I had spoken ill about them to another person behind their back.

The whole episode of them cold shouldering me lasted for a traumatic 3 months. They would ignore me even when we would all be sitting in the same room for a whole day together.

I then pulled myself together and typed out an apology for the both of them and sent it to them. They did not reply or even acknowledge the text. I did not deter but I did not pester them with any more apologies.

I promised myself that I would never sink to betray any of my friends and took out a sheet of paper and wrote down everything I could thank them for. I also thought about scenarios where they would speak to me normally. I then forgot about it and went on with my life thanking every passing molecule for it’s contribution to my life.

College broke for winter for a month and we all came back after the new year. One of them started talking to me as if nothing had occurred.

The other one arrived a couple of days later and he did not say anything. I had a weird vision of him shaking hands with me saying “Happy New Year”. I did not realize that I was visualising. An hour later, he came up to me and handed me a box of chocolates and said, “Happy New Year!”.

I’ve got my friends back because of The Secret, The Power and The Magic.
