The story begins in the early part of circa 2011. I was going around with my girlfriend and we both mutually decided to get married after due consent of our parents, as is the trend in India.

As I was from a culturally different part of India vis a vis my girlfriend, there was huge displeasure from both of our parents. The going was really tough and chances of us both getting married was bleak. During those days I used to work in a very remote area and hence keeping ourselves in continuous touch was a big challenge. Keeping each other motivated to believe in each other and working towards the common goal was a big deal, courtesy of the huge resistance from our parents.

It was during this phase that I remembered about the review of this book called The Secret that I had read in a newspaper some time back. I bought this book and started reading it and I realized that this is the only way that I can go ahead. I also shared my thoughts to my girlfriend. She used to always believe in my blind faith that all is going to be well, but after I gave this book to her she got the boost in thinking positive and the power of visualization.

At one point in time the prospect of our marriage was just nil, when our parents’ health deteriorated because of the mental agony that they were going through because of their kids. We still wanted to believe and visualize that we are going to be married with the consent of our parents. And eloping was never an option.

We visualized the moments of our marriage, the exact rituals and even the location of our marriage. All these visualizations and blind faith were in the darkest moments in the tunnel.

When it was almost at the verge of a break-up, things took a dramatic turn and we got engaged one fine day after due deliberation by our parents. Subsequently we got married on 24 June 2012, in the exact fashion as we visualize.

No one would believe us if we would have told people that the marriage has happened in the exact way as we had visualized . The Secret “faith” was working all the time.

Now after almost two years, we are a happy family with a 3 month old daughter.
Our “secret” has helped us to be where we are placed right now in our life.

I have gifted my personal copy of The Secret to one of my friends and also gifted a few of my friends with one copy each and suggested for many others to read it.

My next big visualization is a major project which is going to uplift my family’s financial status. It is the power of believing and visualizing that’s working.
