The Secret And The Power And vet School
From a young age I have always wanted to become a Vet, ever since I could first talk. From years of animal related work experience everyone has tried to put me off the idea (farmers and even vets!), but I was determined I would do it, with my deep passion and love for animals.
I attend a normal Comprehensive school in the UK (I thought this would go against me not going to a grammar school) and even tutors told me “getting a place into Vet School is one of the toughest thing you can do as most people get rejected from University to study Veterinary Medicine, as it is the most competitive course to get onto (along with Medicine) as there are only 8 Vet Schools in the UK and Ireland, it is for the “elite” so it’s really quite impossible”.
Even with this advice, I still proceeded to achieve my life long ambition (as I have worked extremely hard to get the grades and carried out years of voluntary work) and applied to 5 Universities for Veterinary Medicine. I started reading The Secret last year after my Uncle told me about it. My brother and sister were both mentally unwell at the time which made me feel quite down, so my uncle bought me the book to cheer me up, and I was amazed by the book. After studying science A-levels, I could see the connections. For example in physics we were told about Einsteins theory that everything in the Universe is energy and vibrates at a particular frequency. So The Secret taught me that my thoughts and feelings determine the frequency of my energy. This year I was bought The Power book from my Mum and started applying the rules from both books.
So after I sent off my University Application some of my teachers told me “don’t be upset if you don’t get into this, this, and this University, as they are amongst the UK’s, and Worlds top Universities”.
To my tears of delight I received an invitation for an Interview at a vet school at Edinburgh University. I focused my thoughts and applied The Secret (Everyday I told the Universe I was so grateful for my University Offer and I pictured myself studying at the Vet School) and a few days after my Interview I received an Offer to Study at their vet school!
I could not stop crying with happiness! The next week I had another interview for another vet school; I applied The Secret and received an offer! Overall I have had 5 University offers. I am still in shock now,; I don’t think it has ever been known to get 5 out of 5 offers from a vet school. Most Vet Universities receive 3000 applications for 70 places… I am so lucky and grateful.
I thought I would share this story with you all, nothing is impossible so let your dreams take you anywhere and if you truly believe, you will receive!!!
