The First Law
There is no doubt that this story will begin with all my greatfulness towards Rhonda and her incredible team. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for being instruments of recovered happiness and well being in so many lives around the world.
The Secret came to me literally, with the book falling with much noise at my feet! It was last September, a time in my life where it couldn’t have been more appropriate! I’m already opened to signs from above, so I picked it up and read it with much thirst, in no time. I then bought The Power and The Magic. I was on a leave of absence and made it my therapy to apply the 28 days of The Magic religiously.
One day, I wanted to try the practice of visualizing and attracting a simple event or object coming to me. I went to a nearby park and sat by a majestuous old tree. I saluted it and ask to receive in return a leaf, as a gift of recognition. I sat for a while and imagined myself leaving with the leaf in my hands and tried to feel all the emotion possible of receiving such a gift.
It is true when they say you cannot ask for how and when, but only believe that it is coming to you. After almost an hour sitting by the tree, I decided it was time to go back home. As I stood up and started walking, and without expectation, a beautiful leaf slowly fell in front of me, forcing me to stop. I grabbed it, as it was falling, and I felt instantly the exact same emotion I had when I imagined it. I turned to the tree and thanked it for such a precious gift.
But that is not all!
As I returned home, I put the leaf in a book to allow it to dry properly. There is no way I was going to depart from that leaf. It is meant to stay with me forever. A few days later, I checked on the leaf. Then, by pure and simple coincidence, I glance at the title of the book: The First Law. That was my confirmation!
That leaf is now inserted in my gratitude journal. I use it as my bookmark and as my living proof of the Law of Attraction, THE first law.
I have allowed myself to be inspired by all of your experiences through your stories, since last fall. I hope mine will do the same for you.
