Okay, well I can definitely say that The Secret has changed my life for the better. When I was in my last year at school I was completely unsure of what I wanted to do with my life, so I just followed in my friends footsteps and went to college to study beauty therapy. I never had a passion for beauty therapy, I just thought it was the easiest option for me.

I never had any high expectations for myself. I just thought, “This is it for the rest of my life. I’m going to work in a salon as soon as I’ve finished college.” But my real dream was being an actress on TV. I thought that would be the best thing in the world to have that job! So every day when I came home from college I’d watch TV, admiring all the actors, thinking, “Wouldn’t it be great, that life. But it’s too late for me to even get close to doing anything in acting…” So I just carried on with college.

One day I was in the book shop and I came across The Secret. I read a bit and really got into it, so I bought it and read it when I got home. And I just sat there reading it feeling really amazing about myself for the first time in a long time. I thought, “I can do anything I want. I’m only doing what I do now because that’s all I thought I could amount to.”

So when I came home from college, instead of watching TV I went on the computer looking for acting classes, and I found an acting school I was interested in. I emailed them and they invited me to watch what they do, and I went and I felt incredible. I felt my dreams were coming true, and the next day I got an email asking me to join. I cried!!!

And half a year later I thought, “Why don’t I go one step further and try my luck for an agent?” Anyway I got invited to a meeting by this agency in this really big posh house. It was amazing. I felt like I wasn’t good enough to be there though, but as soon as I was introduced with everyone I was really comfortable. Anyway, they were really keen on me and asked me to join up at the end of the meeting. As soon as the meeting finished I was on the top of the world. I never felt so happy!

A week later I had my first audition for a film! I was so scared but I just thought, “I need to show them how much I want this and they will like me.” Anyway my audition went really good it was my first audition so I didn’t know what to expect, but there were loads of teenagers there feeling nervous so it made me feel more comfortable. My audition was great, everyone was lovely, and I just went home hoping for the best.

Well, today I got a phone call saying I GOT THE PART! Ahhhh!!!!! I’m so happy, and my mum and dad are so proud. So I just want to say thank you to The Secret. 🙂
