Hi there!

I would really like to share my story because all of your stories have inspired me too!!

I was a girl that needed others for approval, but that’s changed. I was in such an unhealthy relationship, I failed my jobs because I was always scared to fail at my jobs. I did not have many friends in my school because I got bullied a few times in school and that made me scared to not have friends there. I also never had a good relationship with my brother, we haven’t had a normal conversation in years. After reading The Secret I came to understand that I was unhappy in many ways because of my way of thinking. I was a victim. Then I suddenly had a craving so bad to read The Secret. I had already read it once but did not do very much with it.

So on a Saturday, after a party, that night I promised myself to enjoy my life and I would do everything differently and I decided to go and look for the book. I asked the Universe to help me with my first step in changing my life, as I had no clue where this book was. I knew we had the book in Spanish and English. So I knew I would find the book in the garage. Of course I did, as I believed it was so. But the book I found was in Spanish and I can’t read Spanish. So I kept having faith, I would not stop until I would find the right one. Then I found one in Dutch. I had no idea that we owned a Dutch version of the book, and since Dutch is my first language, it was perfect! I went to my room and spent my day reading this book. I made a note of everything I want to say to myself on a daily basis when I start my day. I promised myself I would change my life to the positive and enjoy it with friends and family and enjoy my success. I promised myself that I don’t need anybody for my happiness but will be happy to share my own with others!

I am so happy to tell you it has all worked in my favor! I passed my first year of school which I found so important to do. I have great friends who stick with me through everything, I have a great job which I do part time, next to my studies. I have such a great relationship with my brother now, we have talked it all out. I have a great boyfriend, the person I had an amazing crush on and I am happy and healthy! Oh yeah, I have a lot of friends in my school now too!!
