In 2013 I lost my grandfather. Devastated and lost, I emailed my sister and asked for an inspirational book to help me get through. She said I have this book called The Secret and the second book called The Power, I’ve had them for a year but haven’t read them. I’ll read The Secret and you read The Power and we’ll swap. Done!

Fast forward 2 years, here’s my story of the most amazing thing that just happened.

I’m a type 1 diabetic and a few months ago I accidently came across this devise called a Dexcom G4 CGM. It gets attached to your body and checks your blood sugars every 5 minutes and sets off alarms if your sugars go to high or too low. I thought, well let’s give this a whirl. It was covered 100% by insurance because we’ve already paid our max for the year. Awesome! After about a month I decided to take off the transmitter and not wear it for a while. I put it in a safe place and then forgot about it.

Now I decided it’s time to start wearing it again, but now I can’t find it anywhere. I’ve been searching for weeks. I called the medical supply company I ordered it through to see about getting a replacement, but unfortunately I’d have to pay $549 to get another one, so no go.

I then began reading The Magic, and I came across a section where I needed to write down a few things that I need to have handled for me, like right this second. So my number 1 was to find my CGM. The practice says to imagine holding it in your hand and being grateful as if you have it. So I did that, and apparently I had enough gratitude that the next day I got an email from Dexcom saying my order shipped.

I was confused because I ordered my CGM through a medical supply company because of insurance reasons, not through Dexcom. So, I called the number listed on my email and this amazing guy Jason told me that they basically fill the orders for the medical supply company so they have all of my info, and when I originally ordered my CGM my insurance allowed me to qualify for free upgrades. I was like Oh my God! I literally cried because of how excited and more importantly, grateful I was, that this was happening. I texted my husband, and the rest of my family about it. I know it’s nothing major but it really was to me.

Two days later I got my CGM, funny thing is, they sent 2, not just 1, but 2 CGM’s! Also included was the disk to upgrade the handheld receiver to the G5 version. I started that and it crashed. I called Dexcom and talked to another amazing guy who tried a few things to get my receiver back to A plus. After several attempts he just said, I am going to send you the new G5 receiver instead because this isn’t working out. It’s free of charge, plus he had it overnighted so I’ll be getting it tomorrow!

I still can’t believe how fast that happened, and maybe that’s why I am still so elated about it, because it all happened within 24-48 hours. Nothing has been that quick for me. It just goes to show you what gratitude can really do and accomplish for you.

Every person I see or talk to that starts to complain or say negative things, I interrupt and talk about these books. I just can’t get enough! I am such a better person, wife, and mother because of them. I continue to read them, and do more research online about The Law of Attraction, it’s really fascinating.
