After years in the corporate world, my job ended and I was unemployed for two years. Eventually I found private duty work with Alzheimer’s clients, work I find extremely rewarding, however it is not steady.

The morning my current fabulous position was ending because the client was going into a memory care center, I was worried. How would I pay my obligations next week, and was fighting off negativity. That very morning I had received The Secret email about saying “Thank you” seven times. So, I started saying thank you over and over as I was leaving the center where I had just left my client for the last time. I put the key in my car door to open it and as I did so my cell phone rang. It was a friend telling my she had a position, if I was interested, and I could start four days later, at an even higher salary! I am so very grateful.

I have been a “student” at the college of the Universe for years. When I apply the principles I believe in so completely, miracles happen in my life. Sometimes I forget just how much I can trust the Universe to respond to me positively, unfailingly, and like so many, I sometimes let the worry gene take control. It just takes vigilance to keep the faith and trust going and get back on track, even when things look bleak. I read a sentence or paragraph or chapter in The Power every day. It really helps me to remember what I need to do.
