Being an owner of The Secret (and also an Inspirational Speaker), my story confirms the power of the Law of Attraction.

January 2007… After watching The Secret numerous times and reflecting upon its message, I constructed a pair of vision boards containing many things I wished to create in my life: material items, a trip, a new book I wanted to write, and several charitable endeavors. Also in the mix were pictures of couples enjoying the type of relationship I longed for.

Early June 2007… four years after my divorce, a feeling struck me one morning: I was ready to fall in love. Two weeks later, an e-mail arrived. After nearly deleting it as spam, I realized it was from Tina, one of my best friends from high school. Other than one brief ‘hello’ at a restaurant 15 years ago, we had not seen each other in 21 years. She now lived in Florida, 1300 miles away. A couple of traded e-mails soon became daily phone calls and a stirring of emotions.

Three weeks later, while at a wedding (I am also a professional DJ) where I was not even scheduled to be (another DJ was ill), she shared the most important message yet via e-mail (after asking me if she could be honest about something): she shared her true feelings from high school. Then I shared mine. We had both been so shy back then, neither had ever expressed what was in our hearts. Even better, the feelings on both sides were even stronger now.

A visit to New Hampshire was planned (so that she could visit her family as well), and we spent a weekend re-connecting, sharing our hearts, and (after coming home from a 14+ hour day of work in my tuxedo to surprise her) a full hour of slow dancing to a list of songs I had pre-selected, all of which are very special to me. This was, without a doubt, the most romantic evening of our lives, and more than made up for all the times I was too nervous to ask her to dance in high school. True love, re-discovered after 21 years, was in both our hearts. Having Tina come back into my life in such a loving way, at the perfect time, proved to be very much worth the wait.

I made several trips to Florida through the Fall, as we spent time trying to create a mutually beneficial way for Tina to return to New England. Enter the Law of Attraction, again! A job opening, within her company, became available in Burlington VT, just over two hours away from my home in New Hampshire.

On January 6th, 2008, I made my final flight to Florida. On January 7th we packed a month’s worth of clothing into Tina’s car and began our drive north to her new home, and our new life together.

We are currently planning our dream future: two soul-mates re-connected, born of a wish handed out to the universe.
