My mom was actually the one that made me read The Secret, and after I was done I decided to try it out.

First I started out with something small. I wanted to go swimming. So before I went to bed I visualized my mom, my brother, and I going swimming. The next day I completely forgot about my wish until my brother asked me if I wanted to go swimming. I said sure (still not remembering about my wish), and I asked if mom wanted to go. She said that she didn’t. So my brother and I went by ourselves. But later that day our mom joined us. She said that she didn’t really know why she came, but did it anyways. Then I remembered my wish… I was amazed.

Then I started asking for a few other things. Simple things like gum, candy, etc. Then when we went to a store, I saw a sweatshirt I really liked. We weren’t anywhere near it, but I never stopped hoping. Then, after a while, my mom somehow decided to go over there. She got me the exact sweatshirt I wanted. Then a few days later, she got me another one that was the same color but had a different design.

About a week after that I decided to try the whole gratitude thing. I started thanking for my hair (random). I didn’t have the best hair, but I did it anyways. A week later people started asking me how long it took to grow my hair (I have long hair but not that long), and they just started noticing it. I also didn’t realize that until I got home later.

And the other time I decided to try the Secret was for the school dance. I got grounded right before it. Most people would think that there would be no way that they could make it to the dance. About 20 minutes before the dance my mom told me to get ready. I couldn’t believe it. I was really thinking how awesome it was.

Right now at this moment, I am visualizing something big, something exciting, something awesome…….

The point I’m trying to make is that you should believe and never give up. And this is coming from the point of view of a 12 year old….
