I had to write in today to share my story, which has spanned over the last ten years. I had previously been practising LOA after reading books by Louise Hay, Joseph Murphy, Catherine Ponder, but definitely found The Secret made the whole process a lot simpler.

I recently looked back in journals that I had written seven years ago. A list that included a 4WD car, an overseas holiday to Europe, a jetski, camping holidays every year, trips to the snow each year. All of which are a reality and which we have enjoyed immensely. They didn’t happen straight away but they DID happen.
I also had on that list to have our mortgages paid off. And this is where it has worked in reverse for us. We did actually receive a large sum of money when my husband’s company closed down. And if we had simply put it into the mortgage it would have gone a good way to paying it off. But the fear of my husband not getting a job straight away, led us to invest in the stock market, well not 2 months later the market crashed!! Looking back I realise my fear of losing or not having enough money was exactly what I manifested. If I had just trusted in the Universe to provide we would have been fine. Only a month or so after he finished work, he was working and has been ever since!!

In times of hardship I have asked for $10,000 to cover bills and mortgages, and by the deadline, his parents have presented us with a cheque for $10,000 as part of his father paying out his estate before he passes away!! And at the end of last year I asked for $5000 unexpected cash, thinking our tax return would be a good one. Consequently it sucked!! But a couple of weeks later I received over $5000 in family tax benefits, which was about $3800 more than I had previously received. I was absolutely amazed and realised yet again I had received what I had asked for.

More recently, in the last 12 months I used it to manifest a new job for myself. I was stressed and anxious in my job at the time and felt that I needed a change. I wanted to work in aged care because I love looking after the elderly and that feeling of really making a difference in their lives during their final years. So, I decided to apply for a job at an aged care facility 2 minutes up the road. I had no aged care experience other than at the hospital. But the interview went really well, and that night I went to bed saying over and over “thank you for my new job, thank you for my new job….” Two days later I was offered the position, with days that fitted around my family. PERFECT 🙂 At the time I was amazed, and thought obviously no-one else applied because I have no experience. But then realised that I had believed and I had received. I have been there 12 months and have the best co-workers and a job where I feel valued and have learned so much.

Last year, my daughter was bullied continuously at her school. I won’t go into it, but I have recently realised that it continued because both she and I continually thought about it and how bad it was for her. Talked about it constantly to other people and of course she kept experiencing it. This year she has started High School and I have made the decision to always think of her doing well, having many wonderful, kind friends and being happy. So far it has been a wonderful start, where she has made some wonderful new friends and I have never seen her so happy 🙂

My eldest daughter is doing year 12 and for xmas I bought her the Secret for teens. Previously she thought it was a load of hogwash, but of her own accord she sat down to read it and has felt empowered by it. I said she can either go into this year feeling stressed and worrying all the time, or she can be positive and visualise herself doing well and achieving the marks she wants. So far she has gotten A+ for all tests she has had, and that has reinforced for her the power of the Secret. They are both about to make up their own visualisation boards.
I had a picture of a new car for my husband on a visualisation board last year. Thinking that maybe we might win a raffle or obtain it in some other way. And wouldn’t you know it, his car literally died and we were forced into a position of HAVING to get a new car. We were without for a month and feeling stressed, trying to cope with 1 car. But then our financial advisor loaned us the money, no interest, to buy a new car, whilst we waited for our loans to be approved. I recently looked at that visualisation board and we had bought the exact car that was in the picture:)

I could go on and on, but this year is the year where my whole family will be practising the Secret every day to live our dream lives and continue to do so. But in closing, I have to share what happened today. My eldest daughter’s camera was playing up and, being under warranty, we put it in to be repaired a month ago. My husband called up yesterday to see how things were travelling with it and they said they weren’t sure but would let us know. Yesterday my husband says to me, “I just want them to give her a new camera”. This morning I get a phone call from the camera shop saying that the manufacturer had decided to replace her camera with a new one and it should be in a few days:)

The Secret is to practise it every day, keep the positive thoughts flowing, laugh often and be grateful for everything. Pretty simple really.
