In December, 2009 I lost my job which was a job that paid $116,000 per year. I was very upset and did not think I could find another job. I had to relocate from one city to another and still could not find work in the city I moved to at the time. I was offered a new job in the city I had just left and was still praying for an offer in the city I have moved to, which is where my children and friends are all located.

One weekend I was feeling very depressed and questioning what to do. I had prayed for guidance and something told me to go to the used bookstore. I asked my husband to go with me to the bookstore. I was walking around the store and just about to leave when a book caught my eye. The book was THE SECRET. Imagine out of thousands of books, I found that very book and on top of it, it was in the wrong section of the store. I started flipping through the pages and it was as if the book were speaking directly to me. I bought the book and read it in one day.

That night, I printed off several blank checks and filled them out. One of the checks I printed was made out to me for the salary I know I will receive from my new job that I know I am going to start in 2010. I put my new job title on it and attached the job description from the hospital’s website for the job I want and applied for. I printed out another check and made it out for the sign-on bonus I will be receiving. The next check I printed was made out to me and my husband for the sale of our home and I wrote on the check that it will be sold by the end of February, 2010. I started my next day off by saying thank you as I put my feet on the floor just as the book suggested. Then I put the SECRET to the test.

That day, I was driving to another bookstore using that time as my thank you time. I envisioned me finding another book that spoke to me and when I got to the bookstore it happened. I also had thought how wonderful it would be to have a copy of the THE SECRET on CD. I walked to the CD section and it was: the last one there.

Then, I was going to the grocery store and the road to the store has a lane for turning that usually is very long, and you generally have to wait for the light to change 3 or 4 times before turning. Before I got to the lane, I envisioned that I would be right up at the light and that I would get through on the first green – and it happened. I was driving home and I envisioned an unexpected check in the mail and there was one. I told myself this morning that I would begin finding coins everywhere I went. It is already happening. And the best thing, I came home, opened my email and there was an email requesting me to fill out a background check form for the VERY JOB I am going to get from the VERY HOSPITAL I am going to work for, the same one I put on the blank check. The universe is already at work and the process is already happening.
