My husband and I were trying to conceive with not much luck. After 9 months, my husband and I started to look into fertility treatments, something we had done before. We took a test and found out that my husband’s sperm count was lower than it had been three months prior. His sperm count was zero! I could have taken this so badly! Zero!!!!! But I did not. I took active steps towards my goal. I made changes, and we redid the test. It had increased, but it was still very, very low. I kept my goal in my mind. I just knew it would improve.

I began attending fertility appointments with a view that I was going to have IVF and share my eggs with another lady, anyway. One month before treatment began, I needed to be not pregnant and on contraception. I was asked to double check, and lo and behold. I am pregnant!!

I am now 12 weeks pregnant. I can’t explain it, but my chances of being pregnant were ridiculously small. The sperm count was so low. Way below the threshold of low, and yet here I am, pregnant with a healthy baby.

I am grateful beyond belief! Miracles happen!
