I started reading The Secret in 2010. I was in a bad state of mind. My health was deteriorating and mentally I very stressed out due to the sudden demise of my younger brother without any illness. It left me scattered, and seeing my mom in a very bad state of mind and health, I was also losing all hope and desire to live life. That’s when one of my friends recommended me to read The Secret.

After reading the book I started thinking positively and also started replacing all my negative thoughts into positive ones. Getting to this mode took me a long time, but once I got into it nothing changed my thoughts. Due to my positive approach in life, my mom also started recovering. It was not only about having a positive approach, though, I also started visualising good health, happiness, and peace of mind for myself and my family. Slowly and steadily, things started falling into place.

My health started improving drastically. I was not getting affected by any negative things around me. The perfect body which I always visualised, I started achieving it. Today I have my perfect weight which I always wanted. Today everyone says, “Hema, there is something that has changed in you.” For that I say, “It’s my attitude towards life which has changed, all thanks to the book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, without which I would not be the person I am today.”

The other best thing that happened to me was the book which I had written long back was under publication for a very long time, and nothing was happening. It’s only when I changed my attitude and visualized it happening that the book was released on a big platform by the education minister, and everyone appreciated it. I have visualised for my book now that it’s going to sell out very easily and I will earn lots and lots of money; it will be a grand success. And I am going to write series of books which are going to be successful.

The other major aspect which happened in my life was in July 2010. I met a person for marriage through my parents. As soon as I saw him, something in me said he would be my husband. We started talking, but something went wrong and he never called back. I never gave up that gut feeling which always said he is my perfect match. I started visualising life with him as my husband – us living happy, and me happily married to him. And I have absolute faith in the teaching of The Secret and The Power that I am going to receive my belief…
