One of my cousins had gifted me this book on my birthday a few years ago. He is very intelligent and is someone who has always inspired me to think big. Hence I couldn’t ignore the book and I read it immediately. From then on I have used The Secret and attracted many things. I would like to share with you my most amazing experience; how I scored a perfect 7.5 in the IELTS examination.

Let me give you a brief overview about this English language exam. I has four modules and in each one, one will be rated between 0 to 9 with 9 being the highest. I wanted to score 7.5. I don’t know why but I liked that number and I couldn’t believe I could score anything more or less than that. Hence I thought I should score 8 in two modules and 7 in the other two which would average to 7.5.

I booked my slot and exactly 30 days was the time for my preparation. I wasted the first two days as I was too lazy to prepare from the internet and I had not received my study material yet. I work full time in an MNC and my shift timing is from 12 pm to 9 pm and it would be 10.30 by the time I reached home. I had no faith initially that I would score the perfect 7.5 but then I kept trying to keep up my preparation. I started off with each module and practiced well and wrote mock exams. I was scoring between 7 and 8 in the sample tests. Every day before sleeping, I was visualized my score being displayed on the website and that boosted my confidence each day. I also wrote gratitude statements every day for all the good things in my life.

Finally, on the exam day I was little nervous but I still believed that my ” higher self/the universe” is on my side and I did my best. I continued to visualize my result every single day after my exam, till I got my result.

Three weeks later, on my result day, I was drowned in my office work and did not bother to do anything other than work since the morning. Suddenly I heard my colleague consoling her friend on the phone saying “It’s okay, don’t cry, you can write the IELTS again.”. I then realized that the results were out and I should check mine. Then I quickly opened the website and guess what?

My perfect 7.5 was on the screen! Yes, yippee, yay, my perfect 7.5 , I screamed and I danced in my head!! 

The icing on the cake was that I scored a perfect 9 in one of the modules; 9+8+6.5+6.5 average =7.5. I was speechless after looking at my result because it was all that I had dreamed about.

I thank the universe each and every day for all the magic happening in my life. When you ask for something and you believe that you deserve it, you receive it. In my case I believed that only through practice and consistent effort I would score a 7.5. Hence to convince my conscious that I deserved it, I worked hard for it. Trust me, nothing happens if you don’t truly believe.
