So I’m only 17 years old, but I found this Secret as a reply to an email I had sent around to London event organisers to try and get my feet on the ground.

I’d recently left college after a dreadful split from an old boyfriend, and I fell into what my Mum calls a black hole. I just couldn’t understand how this split had effected me so much. I went into depression, had no job, sat around the house as I wasn’t enrolled in college anymore, and developed an eating disorder. I didn’t even want to give my Mum the time of day. I couldn’t talk nicely to anyone, and I just wanted to be on my own crying literally day and night.

One day I realised I needed to do something, so I had the idea of doing a home course in event management. I’ve had the course for a while, but just wasn’t motivated. So I emailed a list of well known London event companies asking for advice. One lady came back to me and said, “I know this might sound strange and nothing to do with your question, but buy this book ‘The Secret’ – it has done wonders for me, trust me you can have whatever you want Sammi.” So I ordered the book and downloaded the Wealth Beyond Reason text she advised. Me and Mum sat there reading it, but I couldn’t really grasp it, and didn’t think anything important of it.

Then my book arrived, and the first part I read I was excited – I couldn’t help but laugh and smile. I started immediately using it, and small changes began. For example, I was meeting an old friend and was worried how the day would go, so I kept repeating, “It’s going to be the best day ever, you’re not going to stop laughing.” And that’s exactly what happened.

Also another example… I said a while ago I need my eyes tested. Yesterday I walk into Tesco and they’re offering free eye tests for that day.

Since using the Secret my life has changed. I now work permanently for RBS as an insurance underwriting assistant – amazing for my age I believe. And I now live in my own 3 story house with two of the guys I work with.

At 17 that is awesome. And I can’t help but think how lucky I am.

I always wanted to get into sales and marketing, and just over a month ago up comes an opportunity to help out in Chruchil home sales and services in the same building that I worked. Of course I snapped it up and it not only gave me the opportunity to improve my c.v for the future, but I also met some beautiful new people, and it gives me the chance to make more money on overtime. I have met some amazing new friends, and my social life has rocketed – it’s just awesome.

Still now I am looking for a new relationship, but hey, I’m young and I’m lucky enough to always be dating, but I know that gorgeous perfect guy is coming to me right now, as i write this.
