It’s mine!
Submitted by: Geraldine V
South AfricaI am a single lady, age 49, currently living and working in the Middle East on a two year teaching contract.
I currently live and work in the Middle East on a two year teaching contract. My contract expires in January 2009. I want to return to my home country, South Africa, as I have just become a granny to 2 beautiful little twin girls.
I decided it was time to look for a job closer to home. Went onto a website and found one in a neighbouring country. The minute I clicked on the website, I said, “This job is mine.”
I applied, and on my summer break back home in SA, I was invited to an interview. I was treated like a celebrity and felt so at home. My parting words to the Headmaster’s wife were, “See you in January.” She took one look at me and said, “I like the way you think.”
I knew the job was mine. But then came the waiting, and being human, I wanted to doubt, but I just kept telling myself and whoever would listen, “That job is mine.” After 2 weeks of waiting, I got the call. I GOT THE JOB!
It really works, positive confession! Start in January!
