Hey there to all The Secret family!

Thank you to all of you that have submitted stories on this site. They help remind me on a daily basis that the magic is real. And, of course, thank you to Rhonda and The Secret team for sharing this wisdom with the world. I live a better life, thanks to you!

I had been working as a high-level administrator at a college for two years, and I was unhappy. The job stressed me out, and I did not enjoy the work at all. Supervising and meetings are not my thing.

So, I decided I wanted a new job. I tried out scripting for the first time, my new favorite manifestation technique! I wrote a thank you letter to the Universe. I thanked the Universe for sending me a ‘new, fun job that was aligned with my true purpose’. I read the letter every day during my spiritual routine and tried to convince myself that it would be possible for me to get a new job, even though I was feeling down about work.

Due to COVID, I was working remotely, but I was scheduled to go back into the office at the end of the summer. I told myself that I was never going back into the office full time, so I went in and moved all of my personal belongings out. I cleaned out my office, transferred my computer files, drafted my resignation letter, and filled out my exit paperwork. I was ready to go before I had a job on the horizon. Even though I wasn’t feeling very joyful, I was convinced that I would be going somewhere soon if The Secret had anything to do with it.

Then on July 8th, about one and a half months before we were scheduled to go back into the office, I decided to check idealist.org to see if there were any jobs I was interested in. I don’t typically check this site, but I am so glad I did! It sorted jobs by my location, and I saw a job that was close to my home that I never would have searched for because it was not in my field.

It was a really cool job working for a nonprofit that builds sacred spaces in nature at schools, hospitals, prisons, and urban neighborhoods. It was 1 mile from my house, hybrid, and literally looked like so much fun. I applied that day, but did not think much of it because what were the chances I could get such a cool job so close to my home? Well, as it turned out, the chances were 100%!

I went through a four part interview process. I had phone interviews, Zoom meetings, and a coffee date with their CEO. I started to get nervous at the end of the process because it seemed too good to be true. Was I good enough? Would I beat out the other candidates? The answer was, yes. I got the call the next day, and I got the job!

Also, in my scripted letter, I wrote down that, “I make great money now”, and let me tell you, they ended up offering me a salary of $85,000 which was $10,000 more than they had listed on the job posting! Woah, like, who does that?!

And, of course, I am starting this job at the perfect time. I am giving my work two and a half weeks’ notice, then going on a vacation for two weeks! When I get back, I start my new job. I will never work full time in the office ever again! Yay!

I just want to say a full-hearted thank you to the Universe. I am so amazed at how this world works. I feel so loved and supported. It is incredible. It really makes me feel so much better about life in general. It has restored my faith in everything. Now I will try to ask for support, guidance, and my desired outcomes more often. Why not? The Universe loves me!
