ConnecticutA 38 year old wife, working mother who is anxious to continue living The Secret
I had been feeling discouraged with my current job. As a project manager, the projects that our department handled followed the same steps time and again. I had been looking on our company’s job website for about 6 months and didnt see anything that appealed to me. I wasn’t in a hurry to leave my job and loved the people I worked with and my customers but couldn’t shake the overall feeling of discontent with work that had become monotonous.
One day I found a job that interested me, after reading the description, it seemed very interesting and I decided to take the first step in the process. I reached out to the hiring manager to learn more about the position and after our meeting was more interested in formally applying for the job. Although my experience was good, it was in no way a perfect fit for the position. I decided to apply and then immediately wrote a resignation letter, which I emailed to myself. For about a week, I read the resignation letter and got into the feeling of receiving an offer. I also, cleaned out my office of all things that I wouldn’t need to bring with me to my “new” job.
I said, Thank you to the universe many times over the next few weeks. I had 4 interviews in the next 3 weeks, each time spent the day before reviewing my notes and answers that I would give to the questions as I knew that I had to put the time in to prepare. After each interview, I felt good and did not worry about my responses or how the interviewee felt about me, I was just grateful that it happened and that I was not going to worry about the outcome.
After 6 weeks since my initial response to the job I was offered the position with a raise. The HR representative said, Numerous people have applied and out of all those I interviewed I felt you were the best overall fit for the position.
I am thrilled to finally post a story that shows The Secret in action. I asked the universe for what I wanted, I was grateful in advance, took actions that helped me believe I was receiving and my wish came true.
Thank you for helping me to achieve my desire. I plan to post many more stories in the future!
