My parking spot
Submitted by: Saebra
Phx, AZI am a 30 something living in Phoenix. I have a great family and 3 terrific kids at home and 5 great dogs.
While reading The Secret I read a story about a person who visualized always having a parking place in the front. Well, I was always worrying the minute I drove into the grocery store parking lot that I wouldn’t have a place to park in the front. Considering I live in Phoenix, Arizona, having your parking space as close as possible to the entrance is very important, especially when it is 113 degrees outside.
Well, after I read The Secret I decided to test the theory. I started by always believing that a front spot would be open every time I went to my neighborhood grocery store. I would play it in my mind… how I would drive up and pull in. I started a journal with all my default thoughts. So if life started pulling me to a negative thought I would pull up a default thought in my mind and make it positive. I even started changing the things in my day that didn’t turn out my way and replayed them in my mind the way I thought they should be. It started to change everything I did, said, and thought.
My relationship with my fiance got better, my relationship with my kids is getting better every day. Well, long story short my parking place is always there and I never worry about it when I drive up, I only see me getting the spot. It is wonderful.
