I can only describe my life last year as hell, and it felt as though it was only going one way and that was down. One Sunday morning I was lying in bed just feeling sorry for myself (no job, no money, 4 children and no life). Then I heard a lady on the tv talking about this book that had changed her life. Yep, you guessed it – THE SECRET. I listened and hoped that I could tell a story like that.

The next day it was still on my mind. I asked a few people if they had heard about it but no one had. Sadly I put it to the back of my mind.

A week later I had a dream that I was reading a red book, and once again it played on my mind. Eventually I decided to buy the book but I couldn’t get hold of it and so I ordered it online (at 3am) with 5-7 days delivery. I tried to stop thinking about this book but I just couldn’t. Two days later I had the same dream of a red book.

In the morning there was a knock on the door and yes, a week early it was my book. I was just so excited but I really did not know why. I decided to take it with me and I’d read it on the way back home after taking the children to school. Just as I was about to put it in my bag I thought I’d take the book cover off so it wouldn’t get damaged, and I swear my heart skipped a beat. It was the same red book from my dreams.

Since reading this book, my life has changed. I use to dislike the out-doors but now the kids and I visit parks regularly for hours at a time. I can be walking down the street and I am aware of everything: people laughing, smiling, the birds, the warmth from the sun, everything. And another amazing thing is I just keep on meeting people who are also following The Secret; on the bus, train, in parks, etc.

Last year I was in my bed recovering from two (unexpected) serious operations in the space of 5 days. I nearly lost my life twice. And now the only tears that have fallen from my eyes are from sheer happiness & gratitude. I am happy and grateful now that I have found my new life.
