I have been practicing The Secret for so long that it really changed my life: it gave me my dream job coming from failure, it gave me custody of my kids which seemed impossible, I was able to buy a house and travel from being bankrupt. But the biggest was that after my boyfriend left me because of my situation, I listed all of the qualities I wanted in a guy and released it to the universe. After just 2 months, he arrived and he swept me off my feet. Our love story is the stuff that romantic movies and fairy tales are made off. Our friends marvel at how we loved each other.

However, his parents hated me because of my situation, they tried to break us apart, they even sent him to another country, but no amount of that can keep us apart. I was using the LOA and gratitude that we were able to weather all the difficulties. 3 beautiful years.

Until I became complacent: I stopped giving thanks, I became insecure that he would leave me, I was complaining a lot, I was fearful. And so I attracted negative things.

His parents once again wanted us to separate. They forced him and even if he did not want it, he stopped talking to me.

I knew I had to get back to the LOA and gratitude. I had a copy of The Power and The Magic but was kept somewhere. I got it and read it. I even got a free audio of The Power on the day of my birthday. I brought the book everywhere, I would play it in the car, I would play it anytime I was feeling down.

Immediately thoughts of loss, of fear of negativity disappeared. These are the things I did:

1. I started a gratitude journal and followed The Magic, I wrote and said thank you that he loved me and that his parents love me
2. I made a vision board with his family and my family. I gave thanks that we were supported and loved.
3. I put his t-shirt on the pillow beside me before sleeping, I put his favorite drink and snacks on his table, I would always set an extra plate for him, I put 2 towels and toothbrush in our bathroom, I put his slippers beside mine by the door.
4. I also played games and used props: I played music in the bathroom and opened the lights so that I’d feel that he was taking a bath, I saved my number in my phone and I would send text messages to myself as if it were from him, I pretended that he would call me, I would say “I love you TOO” as if he was the first one who said it, I sprayed his perfume in our bedroom. I also pretended that he was in another country preparing for our wedding.I wrote a list and pretended to call his mom and would discuss the details of our wedding.

THEN A MIRACLE HAPPENED just after 2 weeks.

I was given a ticket to fly to where he was. After not answering for a long time, he actually replied because I emailed him that I was coming to see him. He volunteered to pick me up in the airport. When we saw each other, we just cried and hugged each other. We committed and vowed to love each other despite what happened. More than that, his parents finally spoke to me. I was sending them love the whole time, I was not afraid and I was at peace, after several years of hatred and judgements, we actually asked forgiveness and embraced each other. THAT IS A MIRACLE.

Now, we are already planning our life together. I know that it will be great, that our families will love and support us.

It really works. Do not doubt. Love and gratitude conquers hate. The LOA will give you everything you desire if you have faith. You can pick up the pieces and go right back to practicing the LOA and gratitude when you need to.
