My story begins in 2007, at the time of elementary school, I started to learn Spanish auto-didactically. After some months I felt the need to have somebody to speak with and practice my Spanish in this way. During the next year and a half, I used to visualize a nice, brown, smooth haired boy, who came from Spain and would learn in my class in the high school I planned to register. I imagined our conversations in Spanish. I did this instinctively, before I watched the movie “The Secret”.

In my way to the new high school, on the first day of school year, I suddenly recalled this and I said to myself “maybe I am going to meet him to day”. After the students gathered in the class, my new home room teacher started to speak about the regular stuff, and afterwards he started to speak English and said that we had a pupil who recently made “Aliyah”, and he speaks only Spanish and English. I shall never forget this moment, I was shocked. I whispered to myself: “that is unbelievable”. I couldn’t explain this event to myself. He was exactly as I was imagining him in features and skin color. In contrary to what I imagined, he has curly hair and came from Costa Rica. It should be mentioned that there aren’t many Spanish speakers in my country, Israel, as in the USA, so this is really rare. After half a year, I watched the movie “The Secret” due to advice of an acquaintance, and in the middle of this I understood what I had done that caused the Spanish speaker to come into my life and I cried excitedly.
