My epiphany moment
I started to read the Secret on 2/26/07 in the train on my way to work. I bought the book as a birthday present to my mum and decided to read it first before sending it to her. I also bought the DVD for myself.
The story that practically got me frozen on the spot and thanking God that I was on the train and not crossing the street was the one about how one of the teacher’s mother believed that her offer on the house she wanted had been accepted and went ahead writing her new address down.
On Valentine’s day this year, I received candy from a friend of mine and the return address looked strange to me. So as I called to say thanks, I asked about the address and he said that it was his my new address. I told him but you only saw the house a week ago and you are still waiting on word if your credit is good to either rent or own it! He said I know but that is the house I want and as soon as I saw it I made up my mind.
On 2/21/07 I got a call from him telling me he just closed on that house and so that was his new home address. So as I read that part of The Secret I stopped right in my tracks called my friend and explained to him what I had read. He had never had of The Secret before and so I promised to send him a copy of the DVD.
Needless to say, any skepticism I may have habored up to that point left me immediately.
