I have been working with food & beverage for the past 7 years (since I graduated in college). After a few years in this industry I realized that the late nights, long hours and hard work was not the lifestyle I was looking for.

During one of my classes at my master’s program I was introduced to a new field in the tourism area that was exactly what I was looking for.

After the class I sent my resume to the person responsible for hiring. It took them 2 months to write me back and schedule an interview with me.

The interview went great but I was the first candidate and they still had another 20 people scheduled and another 2 and a half weeks waiting period for me to hear back from them. Meanwhile I was applying The Secret into this process. I wrote in several places of my house that the job was already mine and they would choose me. I placed those signs in my bathroom, my bedroom ceiling, and even inside my car. The best idea I had was to record this voice message in my cell phone as I was calling my mom to give her the great news that I got the job. The tone of my voice and my excitement made me believe that the job was mine for sure. I created this conversation as if I got a phone call back from the HR dept offering me the position and it sounded sooo real!!!!

They didn’t give a specific date to call me back but I knew, in my head, that it would be in a Thursday afternoon. So I planned it all…. I created my reality! On that Thursday my phone rang and I recognized the number…. it was an amazing feeling to know that we are so powerful and we can be or have whatever we want in life, as long as we believe on it!
