It was back in 2017 when I discovered an incredibly talented singer. She had just won an online contest to appear with a famous musical group in Los Angeles.

Her submission video was just stunning. She had such a beautiful enchanting tone and not only that, she could swing like Ella Fitzgerald.

She was that good and she was the first contest winner to go on tour. But it would not be until 2019 that I would get the chance to see her in the UK.

When she did come over with a whole heap of amazing singers, dancers and musicians, I paid extra for the ‘meet and greet package’ and I got the chance to speak with her. It was a very lovely few minutes and we seemed to hit it off. And that was that.

The Secret came into my life at a time of great sadness and stress. My family life was very toxic. I had been fired from two jobs and I was trying to rebuild my life and my identity. At the same time, I was doing my very best not to crumble.

I made a vision board of all the things I wanted to achieve using the law of attraction. There were many things on my board such as getting promoted at my new job and that is actually in the works. Also to be financially free. But on a more specific note, I wanted to work with this particular singer.

I made a fake Instagram DM message from her, asking me for marketing support and to be part of her team. I printed it out. I stuck it on the board. And I carried on with my life.

Two to four months later I was at my lowest ebb. Due to many sad and stressful circumstances, I had a breakdown. It was so bad I could not be in the same house as my family so I went to stay with my adoring grandparents for 2 weeks.

I went back to my home to pick up some bits and bobs and my phone pinged.

There in my DMs was a message from this incredible LA songstress. I couldn’t believe it. Was this actually happening?

It was. And I let out something akin to a yell.

I read the message over and it was nearly identical to the message I created all those months ago on my vision board.

I was in shock. I still am, to be fair.

It goes to show. The law of attraction and The Secret works!

I now have the privilege to have this amazingly talented woman as a client, even if we are across the pond from each other.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving as she called me to go through some small pieces whilst she had five minutes. We talked about how wonderfully weird it is that we work together. A singer and her fan from across the pond.

I decided to tell her this story and bless her, and she nearly cried.
