Manifesting a Dream
It’s interesting, because I was fortunate to have a father who kept in his bookshelf books like ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’ and ‘Think and Grow Rich’, and many other inspirational books. My Dad, I believe, worked at being positive all his life on this earth. I’m lucky that I was able to have some of these books passed on to me.
I have a copy of the book, The Secret, in my office, along with Jack Canfield’s ‘The Law of Attraction’. The principles in The Secret I believe are true, and with God’s help and my prayers, different events have unfolded for me in my life in the last number of years. They do not always manifest themselves right away, but when the time is right.
I had always wanted to learn the violin, and at age fifty I put in a bit of effort to find a teacher in my area but was unsuccessful. However, I never let go of my dream to play the violin, even at my age of fifty-five. This past Christmas I was attending a church service and a woman close to my age played the violin, and I was totally mesmerized. I went up to her (putting my dream to work now!) and asked her if she would teach me. And she told me that yes, she actually taught right in the church during the week and she had an opening. So I wouldn’t have to travel far, as it was close to my workplace, and I could finally live my dream.
I have been playing for 5 months now and am thrilled that my dream was manifested. Thank you for your wonderful book and ideas and thoughts about manifesting your dreams!
