PhilippinesI am a believer of the law of attraction since I was introduced to The Secret almost 7 years ago.
I would like to say thank you so much Ms. Rhonda Byrne for showing us The Secret. I was on my 24th day of reading The Magic book when I manifested a pair of very beautiful running shoes showcased at the Tokyo Marathon Expo.
The story begins when I am on my 2nd day in Japan and reading the 22nd day of The Magic; ‘Right Before Your Very Eyes’. As I was about to finish my tour at the expo, I saw this huge beautiful banner advertising the 20th version of Gel-nimbus with the word Tokyo as part of the design. I took a picture of it and thought to myself; if I only saved more money for this event, I would be able to buy a pair. So I left and let it go. As I was about to go home to my friend’s house, I saw a woman wearing the same shoes that were showcased at the expo. I started to visualize my feet wearing the perfectly fit shoe. That night, I couldn’t put myself to sleep so I posted a message and picture on Facebook and jokingly said, “This is a very beautiful shoe! Donations are very much welcome, you can wire transfer the donations through a local bank.”
On my 4th day of my stay in Japan, one of my friends traveled for 7 hours from Sendai via bus for our mini reunion. I told her what I saw at the expo and asked if her if she could accompany me there, I was just going to ask if they were going to sell the product after the event. She agreed and we went to do my agenda for the day.
On my way on ‘the friendship run’, I read the 24th day of the Magic, ‘The Wand’ to kill time. Then I did what it said in the book. In my mind I said thank you and waved the invincible wand at my feet and said, “Thank you for the beautiful pair of Tokyo shoes!” That afternoon, I met my other friends at our meeting spot and asked them to come with me to the expo. Since they had not been there yet and were telling their students about Tokyo sights, they agreed to come with me.
Inside the expo, I pointed the advertisement and they were also surprised how beautiful the shoe was. I went to the staff and asked if they were going to sell the shoe after the event and he said, “I don’t think they will. This is only intended for the expo.” So my friends pushed me and said to the staff that, “She’ll try it on.” So I tried the shoe on and one of my friends asked for the price. It was 19,950 yen. She turned to me and asked me in our native language, if I still wanted to buy the shoes. I told her, “Of course, but I don’t have budget to purchase the shoe right now, if they would sell this after the event, I would purchase it but he said they don’t.” So one of my friends asked for my shoe size and the staff went to the stockroom to get it. When he went back and got the shoe it was an exact fit for my feet. My friend gave me the money and told me in our native language, here is 18,000 yen, this is the money that I have in my wallet now since I haven’t withdrawn money yet, just add the remaining amount.
I was so shocked and surprised at what she did. I refused since it was a lot of money, about 169.60 USD. I told her that I cannot accept that, the amount is way too much for her to lend me. She said, “It is okay, you are not always here in Japan and besides, the staff put so much effort in to find the size perfect shoes for you.” Upon hearing that, I was surprised at what she said, I told her that I am going to pay her once I get my salary.
At that moment, it was so surreal, I couldn’t believe I was able manifest very expensive shoes from a friend who I had not seen for 3 years. Throughout my stay in Japan, I always said and felt gratitude that I was there. I was able to eat in the only 1-star Michelin Ramen without staying in queue for a long time. I even saw Mt. Fuji and I also celebrated Sakura, the Cherry Blossoms Festival even though it was still winter season. I even met a Japanese native who was very kind enough to give me a tour around Tokyo for free and he also suggested places for us to eat as well as helped me to find souvenirs to take back home.
The Universe made it so possible to make my Japan trip very enjoyable and memorable. I will forever be grateful and cherish those moments, all thanks to you Ms. Byrne and for the books that you have written!
