Dear Rhonda and The Secret team,
There is not just one one, but many instances where The Secret has helped me overcome hurdles in my life. From a very small age, I had been raised in compliance with the principles of The Secret. My dad had not read The Secret, but the principles of believing had been passed on to me and my brother by him. Not through words but through his way of life. This is just one
event in my early life that I would like to share in the hope that this might help or inspire someone who is in doubt or despair to believe in themselves and achieve their true potential.
Smartness and bravery in girls were considered as arrogance in the conservative society that I grew up in. Even the corridors of the convent school I studied in breathed discipline, so school didn’t help either. Just speaking my heart out and responding, not reacting, to issues I felt were relevant earned me the ‘arrogant’ tag among my social circle. Thanks to my dad I just believed in what I did and kept focusing only on the very few positive outcomes and recognitions that my personality received and ignoring everything else. Believe it or not when I left school after 12’th grade, I was voted ‘Miss Popular’ at school in a contest that the entire graduating batch participates in! The same society that once rebuked me was then adoring me!
The Secret still continues to weave magic in my life. Life has become more exciting than ever and I am currently in the process of doing what my dad successfully did for me years ago; Passing the message of ‘The Secret’ to my little one by living it rather than by just reading it!
