When I first read The Secret and many other books about the LOA, I was so excited. I felt invigorated, inspired, and truly empowered. It was one of the happiest feelings I have ever experienced.

I manifested plenty of small things and then I was on to trying to manifest the bigger ones. I even quit my job, that I didn’t like anyways, believing that I was going to attract what I wanted regardless. I didn’t attract any of the big things I wanted, only the small ones. It kept getting harder and harder because my fiancé was the only one providing but I still kept faith.

Fast forward a year and a half, I got a job and then he quit his. So then I was the one providing! Funny huh? There were a few times I got frustrated but then I realized one day that I needed to go through this and I needed to learn to be giving. That was the thing, I wasn’t giving. I wasn’t giving good feelings all the time, I wasn’t giving good words and thoughts to others. I was depriving myself of love and positivity and I had a habit of always worrying about something. I never really aligned myself in the vibration of having or experiencing what I desired and if I did, I didn’t stay there that long.

I believe the Universe wants you to learn to allow all the good to flow through you and you stay there. It really resets your whole life. If we’re habitual creatures then we have to get into the habit of not just thinking of what we want but feeling what we want. It is work at first, getting into the right mindset but the more you do it the easier it gets and then boom! Everything you truly desire aligns in your life in the most perfect way imaginable!

It’s a day by day, moment by moment process. I’m so grateful for reading The Secret, The Power, and The Magic! I also recommend reading A Course in Miracles and any Abraham Hicks books or podcasts. They are so similar to The Secret teachings and really go into depth about why and how all of this works. I hope anyone who reads this finds inspiration, and remember to always choose love. You won’t lose anything but gain everything.”
