After reading The Secret, I went back to analyze a few situations in my life and guess what? It does work.

Every time I called in sick at work just for the sake of having a few days off, I would actually get sick, so I stopped lying about my health. Actually I have done it way before I came across The Secret, but it was just a legit explanation confirming what I had guessed. Your thoughts become things! Here are a couple of more interesting examples of how it has worked for me.

A couple of years back I broke up with my ex boyfriend. Naturally I spent the first month crying. For the next few months we stopped all communication and I worked hard on making myself not think of him, not have any memories, not look at the pictures. And it worked. I stopped thinking of him and over analyzing what happened. I stopped, up until the day I read The Magic which I read it before The Secret.

I liked the concept of gratitude and immediately decided to write my ex a letter. It was not meant to be seen by him, it was just a letter for me to say thanks to him and for me to finally release the emotions I had been suppressing. This happened around midday. By 9 PM he called me! He called me for the first time in 2-3 months. I was beyond shocked. A few more months after that he started contacting me on regular bases, asked out and was trying to get me back.

To be honest I forgot all about the book since then up until recently, when I just woke up with the desire to read The Secret. I have just gone through the chapter about money and I thought, well I have a new job, I’m actually happy with my current salary. It’s double what it used to be just a couple of months ago. I doubled it because I knew the salary I wanted and I refused to settle for less, I just knew I was going to get it. I live comfortably and independently. It was a passing thought, I did not keep it in my mind for long. I just thought of it, smiled, felt happy, went on with my evening.

The next day I happened to be in my CEO’s office dropping something off to his secretary. I never go there unless he calls me in. The next thing I know he walks in, calls me into his office and gives me an envelope with money to say thanks for the hard work. It was completely unexpected but once again it confirmed that The Secret does work.

There’s more examples in my life where I saw it work and some were quite unfortunate but again, it all materialized from my mind. I’m generally quite a happy person and in the learning process of The Secret to exceed this positive energy and happiness and share with those around me.
