“The Secret”. What a wonderful book ANYONE could have read. I absolutely love it.

To start this off, I am the typical girl who is pretty shy. I grew up in a small town and was raised by a family of four. I’m the youngest. I was a smart girl through my childhood years and was never a discipline problem towards my parents. Never really had trouble looking for friends (even though I was shy) or struggled with family problems. Overall, I had a pretty decent childhood…that soon led me to think I was ALWAYS going to have a “normal” family and a “normal” life. Of course, back then I thought there was such thing as normal. But there isn’t.

As I began my first year in high school, I was pretty excited. Didn’t know what to expect. But as I came home, went on family vacations, etc. I noticed how my parents started to argue. I didn’t think much of it at first because any parent comes into an argument or two with the other every once in a while right? So there it is. But as these arguments grew a little stronger, I began to worry. And WHAT a way to experience that when you’re going through your first stages of teenage land.

I am guilty of having a myspace account in the year 2006. Boy, wasn’t that a nice experience? I became a myspace addict. I met people across the U.S. And at that time, I noticed that the family problems affected me. I became sad. I wasn’t that focused in school and received my first D. I was always the straight A student in my elementary years. But now that was just a memory. I cried more. I drove myself into depression. I couldn’t think straight. I noticed that my friends sort of neglected me. I argued with my mom, etc. I was lost.

As my sophomore year came, I decided to stay okay during school. I got a little better because of my first boyfriend and the awesome friends I met on myspace. But as my junior year came, my mom introduced me to The Secret. Once I decided to read the book (and I don’t enjoy reading) I was amazed. Things made sense to me. I felt motivated about everything.

My junior year came and went and my 2nd semester grade for my junior year was straight As and one B. I felt good. 🙂 I thought over what the Secret had mentioned and made sure to think straight. My senior year was around the corner and I made sure to start the year off RIGHT. My goal was to have straight A’s on the first semester. I made sure to do my homework everyday and simply think positive. Is The Secret EVER wrong? NO! I actually achieved my straight A’s! It is WONDERFUL knowing how life works. In addition, I had gotten my first job. I didn’t even expect working my senior year. But as I felt good from day to day, the law of attraction arranged these events and people to come to ME and offer me a job.

Between you and I, I work as a babysitter at an adult school. It may not be the most exciting job but I love it. I get to eat there; I get to text, do my homework, and get on the computer! There’s never any struggle looking after the kids and my coworker is awesome. I didn’t have to go to an interview to get this job. I was already qualified because of the ROP class I had taken in my junior year. Life is great.

I am now only one month away from graduating and I am excited. I still have my straight A’s and I am STILL with my first boyfriend. We have 2 years and 9 months with each other. I can’t say how much gratitude I have towards my life. I am dying to find out how my future will turn out for me. I just LOVE knowing that The Secret was made available to people like me and anyone else there.
